Call Sign Prefix Reference Sheets

Way back when, the old Radio Amateurs World Atlas had a list of all ITU-allocated call sign groups on the back cover. That was a handy little reference that I was missing so I recreated it using the latest information (Updated at WRC-19) available from the ITU Radio Regulations. I also made a version sorted by country. Both versions fit on a single sheet US Letter size paper, front and back. You can download them here:

US HF Band Plan Reference Cards

I picked up an aluminum HF band plan chart at the Dayton Hamvention a couple years ago. It’s designed to be durable for outdoor (POTA) use and very easy to use since it is specific to one license class. I love the idea of this thing. But I have never figured out why the bands are in what seems like a completely random order. (I’m sure there’s a good reason, maybe the most commonly used bands first?) Anyway, I’m a big fan and if you do any POTA operating you probably should get one.

But, if you don’t want to spend $13 apiece or don’t care about the durability of aluminum, then maybe you just want something similar that you can print at home. So that’s what I made. You can download them using the links below.
